Saba Qamar to play ‘rock star’ on big screen

KARACHI: After the success of his maiden movie “Karachi Sey Lahore” at box office, director Wajahat Rauf is going to make another film in which popular TV artist and model Saba Qamar will be seen as a ‘rock star.

The film will also star Yasir Hussain, Rubina Ashraf and Behroz Sabzwari who had also acted in Rauf’s first film. It appears to be a sequal of “Karachi Sey Lahore” (KSL) but Saba Qamar denies it.

She said that this film will be absolutely different from KSL and it would be based on a non-traditional story. She says that she is playing the role of a ‘rock star’in the film.

Wajahat Rauf himself confirmed the news about Saba Qamar starring alongside prominent Pakistani actor Yasir Hussain.

According to the director, the plot of the movie will this time focus on the character Moti, who travels from Lahore to Pakistan’s northern areas. During the course of the journey, he comes across Saba Qamar’s character.

The director also said the movie would not include any item song as it was in his previous film. However, he revealed that the movie would feature a couple of new, catchy tracks.
