US officials attend Milad parade in Dallas
DALLAS: A joint rally and a parade to celebrate the birth day of holy prophet Hazrat Mohammad Mustafa (PBUH) was held by the Muslim community of Dallas Fort Worth.
Elected officials, county officers, community activists, social and political leadership and hundreds women, and children participated in the event.

DALLAS: A joint rally and a parade to celebrate the birth day of holy prophet Hazrat Mohammad Mustafa (PBUH) was held by the Muslim community of Dallas Fort Worth.
Elected officials, county officers, community activists, social and political leadership and hundreds women, and children participated in the event.
Dallas county judge Brandon Birmingham, Dallas County clerk Philicia Pitre, Executive Chief Dallas County Sheriff Department Jessi Flores, Assistant Chief Debbie Foster, Sargent Dallas County Police and representative of Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson and former Texas State House Representative Terri Hodge also addressed the rally.
Muslim Democratic Caucus leader Syed Fayyaz Hassan, South Asia Democracy Watch President Amir Makhani, Raja Zahid Khanzada, Pakistani American Association of Texas President Dr. Javed Ajmal, Pakistan Society of North Texas Vice President Salman Tabani, and a large number of city leadership were in attendance.
The parade was led by Imam Zaid Shakir from Zaituna University of California, Imam Babar Rahmani, Allama Siraj Misbahi, Ghulam Jangda, and Shoaib Khan. Mr. Ali Rizvi represented the Shia community in the parade.
On the occasion several elected and public officials thanked the Muslim community for inviting them to such an important event.
Congresswoman Johnson’s Representative Terri Hodge while addressing the crowd said that Congresswoman Johnson was intending to participate in the rally but she had to stay in Washington DC for official business.
The Milad parade started from city hall and culminated at city hall.
African community members and Bangladeshi community leaders also presented devotional poetry for prophet (PBUH).
On the occasion Imam Zaid Shakir said that Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) was not only sent for Muslims but for the whole humanity.
