KARACHI: Pakistan’s T20 skipper Shahid Afridi addressed the controversy surrounding Sarfraz Ahmed being dropped from the squad for the T20 series against Sri Lanka.
During a news conference for his charity organisation, Afridi praised Sarfraz as a brave cricketer who could play for him at any position.
Afridi told reporters that this was the time for Pakistan to experiment before the T20 World Cup. “I had said from before that we want to expermiment.”
Responding further Shahid Afridi said Pakistan wanted strong players on the opening and one down position.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has sought a clarification from Afridi over the decision to drop Sarfraz Ahmed from the squad.
