Alia Bhatt breaks silence over criticism on pairing with Salman Khan
Alia Bhatt said, "I didn't get any criticism. I think I got a lot of excitement. I think speculation is also a form of excitement in a way and why shouldn't there be speculation? There should be and at least I am not bothered by that and I don't think Salman or Bhansali sir are bothered."
Famed Indian actress Alia Bhatt has responded to critics slamming her over pairing with Salman Khan who is 27 years senior to her.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming project ‘Inshaallah’ since its announcement has received mixed responses over Alia’s pairing with Salman Khan.
While some fans have expressed happiness, others have criticised them Alia and Salman's age gap.
A user wrote on social media over the odd pairing: "Is Alia playing Salman Khan's daughter?"
In response to the critics Alia in her recent interview said:
"I didn't get any criticism. I think I got a lot of excitement. I think speculation is also a form of excitement in a way and why shouldn't there be speculation? There should be and at least I am not bothered by that and I don't think Salman or Bhansali sir are bothered."
The ‘Raazi’ actress further added: "I think this is a filmmaker who has given us very good films, he is someone who we all are very fond of and I think we should just trust him with his vision."
Earlier when the announcement of Alia and Salman's pairing was made, the actress took to her social media account to show her excitement.
She wrote: “Dream with your eyes wide open they say & I did. Sanjay Sir and Salman Khan are magical together & I can't wait to join them on this beautiful journey called “Inshallah”.
On the work front, the tww actors are working on their upcoming projects. Alia will be seen in a period film ‘Kalank’ directed by Abhishek Varman and produced by Karan Johar which will hit the big screens on 19th April, 2019.
On the other hand, Salman Khan is busy with his upcoming film ‘Dabangg 3’ starring Sonakshi Sinha.
