Can't be judgmental till they're proven guilty: Ajay Devgn on #MeToo
Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn stepped forward expressing his views with the recent surge of the #MeToo movement in India after allegations on Rajkumar Hirani, saying he cannot judge anyone till their actions have been proven.
India’s #MeToo movement is taking a surge once again after the sexual harassment allegations placed against acclaimed director Rajkumar Hirani after which a myriad of diverse opinions regarding the movement have come forth.
Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn also stepped forward expressing his views with the recent surge of the movement in the country saying he cannot judge anyone till their actions have been proven.
"A couple of things came out and some people are like this but everybody is not like that. I would say some names did shock me but then I can't be judgmental completely till somebody proves someone guilty or not," he said in an interview with PTI.
While the actor has previously endorsed the #MeToo movement earlier, he believes that B-Town no longer has a power game that can function: “New generation is thinking differently, they are not going to accept the bullshit what people used to accept couple of years back. They are changing and we are changing and that change is for better,” he stated.
The acot goes on to say: “With the media coming in, everything is out in the open. You can't say 'I am very powerful and you can't mess with me', you cannot mess with anybody as everybody is at the same platform, at the same stage. So big or small doesn't matter anymore, which is a good thing."
