Mahira Khan begins Cannes’ journey, spreads magic at French Riviera

CANNES, France: Having the honour of being the only Pakistani to make it to the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, Mahira Khan has finally reached the coastal city of French Riviera where the actress was clicked soaking up some sun by the sea. 

While the internet went crazy over Bollywood beauties Kangana Ranaut and Deepika Padukone slaying their looks at the Cannes red carpet these past days, Mahira decided to hit the beach and strike a pose donning a flowery white  suit.

The ‘Raees’ starlet took to Instagram to share a video of her time at the beach, giving a sneak-peak inside her first outing at Cannes.

Mahira Khan is all set to walk the glorious red carpet at Cannes on May 15. She is attending the festival as brand ambassador of French makeup giant L’Oréal Paris, along with globally-celebrated female celebrities including Sonam Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai, Eva Longoria, Deepika Padukone, Jane Fonda and Julienne Moore. 

Earlier in a press conference Mahira, sharing about making it to Cannes for the first time, stated, “Everyone keeps telling me, ‘this must be so exciting’ and I keep telling them that I feel like I am a player for a Pakistani team but I am playing alone. I am very grateful to be associated with this brand. There are so many international stars that have been representing L’Oreal at Cannes and I am on my nerves to stand beside them.”
