LONDON: Famed HBO series 'Game of Thrones' is soon receiving a BAFTA Special Award at British Academy Television Craft Awards 2018 due on April 22.
It is reported that actors Hannah Murray and John Bradley, who star as Sam and Gill in the show, will accept the honour on behalf of the entire cast and crew.
'Game of Thrones' has surpassed millions of views having fans and followers from every part of the world. The popular show’s season finale is being filmed currently and will air in 2019.
The award is an acknowledgment of efforts put in the production of the great show, where creators have pushed their limits and went on to extremes to shoot the mind-boggling series.
It also recognizes the support that GoT has extended for the production of high-end TV content in Britain, revealed BAFTA officials.
“The craft behind what is one of the most popular dramas of our time is nothing short of incredible. From the breath-taking location shots to the intricately designed costumes and set pieces, and not forgetting the level of detail from the make-up and prosthetics team are just to name a few,” stated BAFTA television committee Chairman.
