KARACHI: Once a TV drama actress and later a wellknown singer, Komal Rizvi, is looking forward to make a comeback in acting but this time she wants to become a film artist.
The Cokestudio star has decided to steer to the acting industry at all maxims.
“Looking back at Pakistan”, she cited, “its filming industry has gone much ahead and I am hoping to put all my efforts for the movies in the coming days”.
The 36-year old actress-cum-singer said: “The film industry in Pakistan is doing really well and watching them appear at the Oscars has really motivated me to completely set foot in acting”.
With her first grip on showbiz with ‘Hawaain’ back in 1997, the actress had continued with ‘Kabhi Kabhi’, ‘Teesra Peher’ and ‘Samandar Hai Darmiyan’ amid her journey with TV serials.
Born in Dubai and raised and then raised in England and Nigeria, she came to Pakistan and launched her career in Karachi where she was also a student.
She also performed as host on TV channels in Pakistan and India.
Having performed Sufi and a Bhangra genre for a score of concerts abroad, the pop vocalist also maintained that her passion for music will remain at spark and intends to move along with it.
