Atif Aslam to sing for another ‘Race’ sequel
this love song has been written by Bollywood super star Salman Khan, who is playing the lead role in ‘Race 3’.
MUMBAI: Pakistan’s popular singer Atif Aslam is going to sing for ‘Race 3’after his songs were featured in ‘Race’ and ‘Race 2’.
This is interesting to note that this love song has been written by Bollywood super star Salman Khan, who is playing the lead role in ‘Race 3’.
Thus the ‘Race’ franchise that took off in 2008, has had its tradition of featuring at least one Atif Aslam’s song in each film, with “Pehli Nazar Main Kaisa Jadoo Kardiya” for ‘Race’ (2008), “Beintehaa”, and “Allah Duhayi Hai” for ‘Race 2’ (2013), and now the third consecutive film, ‘Race 3’, also has a romantic song reserved for him.
Producer Ramesh Taurani confirmed the news, saying, “Atif has been a part of every ‘Race’ film and we felt he would be perfect for this romantic song. It will be a surprise for the audience.”
It is pertinent to mention here that Atif Aslam had earlier on March 1, been resisting to promote his song “Sehmi Hai Dhadkan” from the forthcoming Bollywood film ‘Daas Dev’, pertaining to the ban on Pakistani artists in Bollywood.
However, Atif has been approached by Indian film maker despite the ban on Pakistani artists for visiting India and performing there.
On the other hand, Saif Ali Khan having remained the protagonist in both ‘Race’ films released earlier has the protagonist crown slated for Salman Khan for the third sequel.
Salman Khan will himself feature in the romantic song, choreographed by Remo D’souza, the music video will have its venue in Abu Dhabi so the multi-starrer catches up with the ongoing schedule, the Indian media reported.
Atif has so far won five Filmfare Award nominations, to equal the record with Rahat Fatah Ali Khan, for the most by a Pakistani singer. However, he never received the coveted Indian film award.
