Rohit Shetty thinks there should be a biopic on Sania Mirza
It was reported that director Farah Khan was also interested in making a biopic on the sportswoman with Parineeti Chopra as the lead character. However the idea failed to materialize due to some reasons.
Famed Indian Tennis star and Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik’s wife, Sania Mirza will also reportedly have a film based on her life story.
According to Indian media reports, Rohit Shetty, director of several Bollywood Blockbuster hits like the Golmaal seires, the Singham series, Chennai Express and many others, has now expressed interest in making a biopic on the tennis star that all Pakistanis have grown to love.
In a recent interview on Indian film director Karan Johar’s talk show "Koffee with Karan", the director revealed his eagerness to see the life story of tennis star Sania Mirza on a big screen and further elaborated that he is touched by Mirza’s continuous efforts to represent India despite having a Pakistani husband.
