SAN ANTONIO, Texas: Texans have elaborated their Star Wars fandom once again with this retro light show illuminated with 15,000 lights amid the hype of Christmas.

The light display, set to producer Celldweller's remix of "The Imperial March,” took a full year to program and six weeks to assemble onto the house.

Matt Johnson, the owner of Living Light Shows in San Antonio had earlier illuminated a previous Star Wars milestone at his own residence which went viral as “Johnson Family Light Show” back in 2015, which closed down in two weeks as it congested the street to neighboring properties with major traffic.

His wife spotted this home in downtown San Antonio while running a half-marathon and thought it would be the perfect spot to accommodate more passersby to enjoy the show.

Johnson said he came up with the idea to renovate the concept of old traffic-like light show and turned the house into the ultimate “Star Wars”-themed holiday light display.

He explained that he went for a viral concept instead as “hearing over and over, especially from the younger generation, that people are burned out and bored of traditional, static lights,” he said he couldn't resist. “The millennials want to see the lights do something. Venues need to get rid of their tired old lights and think of how to make these lights more interactive to appeal to the video game generation.”

The display is scheduled every night between 6 pm and 10 pm until the New Year's.
