KARACHI: Test cricketer Younis Khan on Sunday rubbished rumours that he may reconsider retirement on team’s request and said there’s no truth in such reports, I have decided to quit and this is my final decision.
In a video message shared on social media, Younis said a lot is being said about my retirement that I want to play more but here, I want to make it clear that I have taken this decision on my own will and after planning.

"Yeah, I will think about it," Younis told an Australian news website before the first Test against West Indies, when asked whether he may rethink if he was requested.
"It all depends on if my team needs me. If they request me or people want me then why not? But it all depends on my team."

This statement of his triggered a heated debate on Pakistani media.
In his clarification, the star batsman also asked his countrymen to trust him. ‘Even if Younis Khan scores century in every innings in all the test matches in West Indies, he will retire.’

He asked Pakistanis to support cricket team and pray that they win first Test series in West Indies.
Younis is just 23 runs short of becoming first Pakistani to enter 10,000-club. He will be the 13th player to have achieved this milestone.
