LOS ANGELES: Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt has been texting his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston, a couple of months after his separation from Angelina Jolie.
Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt were married for five years and were one of the most talked-about couples of Hollywood. That is, until the Troy star broke up with his wife Aniston and got into another high-profile relationship with actress Angelina Jolie.
However, after more than a decade of dating and a couple of years of marriage, the Brangelina relationship hit rock bottom as Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in September 2016. According to media reports, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston have started exchanging texts amid tangled divorce proceedings.
According to a source close to Jennifer Aniston, Pitt texted her on February 11 on the occasion of his ex-wife's birthday and very soon, started opening up to her.
"They started talking once he wished her a happy birthday," said the source. "Brad told her he’s having a hard time with his split and they exchanged a few texts reminiscing about the past," added the source.
However, a source close to Brad Pitt shot down any chance of the two getting together again but confirmed that the conversation had taken place.
"They have been texting and have been in touch. There has just been some friendly back and forth, nothing more than that," said a source close to Brad Pitt.
Jennifer Aniston is married to Justin Theroux who is reportedly 'Okay with them being friends.'
