Andrew Garfield got candid about his admiration for Woody Harrelson.

Recently speaking with People Magazine, the Spider-Man star named one actor who still makes him feel starstruck, “I’m going to say [it was] Woody Harrelson, who I’ve known for a long time, but every time I see him, I still feel overwhelmed,” Andrew said.

Woody starred in the 1992’s sports comedy, White Man Can’t Jump alongside Wesley Snipes, as Andrew grew to admire the Hollywood star through the movie, he admitted that he had “always wanted to play basketball with Woody.”

However, he had an unexpected basketball experience with the True Detective star, which eventually left him “overwhelmed.”

“There was a pickup basketball game happening between our different groups of friends, and so we just happened to be there at the same time and we played basketball together,” Andrew recalled.

He went on to explain, “I was so excited, but I was so overwhelmed and starstruck that I froze, and I played really, really badly.”

“It was just so, so brutal,” and it was “a small price to pay for getting to actually be able to be on the court with one of my basketball and acting heroes,” the actor added.

Andrew further explained that meeting someone he admires in real life often leaves him flustered, saying, “I can be a fangirl/boy, or I just completely clam up and I go completely silent. I can’t make eye contact and I can’t find any words and I’m just mute.”

“So either way, it’s uncomfortable,” he admitted.

The acclaimed actor also shared how spending time with his nephews helped him to feel like a kid again, stating, “Playing … on the beach in Devon in the water, playing sports, swimming around, surfing, and talking nonsense with them while we ate fish and chips.”

“I think I have been a version of a cool uncle,” Andrew continued. “It might be shifting as they get older, and I’m cool with whatever — however — they see me as long as they want to see me … If I become uncool to them, it’s not going to deter me from forcing myself into their days.”

It is pertinent to mention here that Andrew Garfield is starring in the newly released The Uprising
