Rob Lowe accidentally announces new Netflix documentary about his life

Rob Lowe accidentally revealed the next exciting project in his life and when it's due.

He made the revelation during a recent appearance on Barstool Sports' Chicks in the Office podcast, saying Netflix is set to release a documentary about his life and career on November 24. 

"It hasn't been officially announced, but I believe November 24th Netflix is going to release a documentary on my life," Lowe said, after being asked about the wild nights when the "Brat Pack" crossed paths with the "Rat Pack" in the 1980s. 

When the host joked Netflix might make them cut the audio, Lowe simply replied, "But you asked."

Lowe teased that the documentary will also create space for previously unseen archival footage spanning his career, including his original audition for The Outsiders, behind-the-scenes clips from classic films, and even footage of him appearing on talk shows as a baby. 

The film will also explore his time in the Brat Pack, what fame looked like before cell phones and social media, and his 36 years of sobriety.

The announcement comes as Lowe already has a strong presence on Netflix. 

He currently stars alongside his real-life son, John Owen Lowe, in the workplace comedy Unstable, which ran for two seasons before being canceled. He also narrated the 2024 documentary Inside the Mind of a Dog.
