Amanda Seyfried makes surprising confession about her roles

Amanda Seyfried got candid about her acting approach.

It is worth noting here that Amanda has done several successful projects including Mean Girls, Mamma Mia, Jennifer's Body, Dear John, Letters to Juliet, Ted 2, Les Miserables, Manks and now she is starring in new crime drama The Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd as Karen who is a creative writing teacher.

Speaking with People Magazine, the Oscar nominated actress reveals what she looks for in a character, stating, “I mean, I’ve always been looking for complexity and to get as much perspective as I possibly can as an artist.”

She further said that her desire to explore diverse roles gave her an opportunity to be “taken seriously by the industry.”

“I feel like right now people are seeking me out to play these roles, which is just a real privilege,” Amanda added.

It is pertinent to mention here that Amanda's new movie The Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd will have its US premiere on October 3 at the Hamptons International Film Festival.

However the synopsis teased, “whose arresting charisma and unexpected tenderness pierce the emotional armour Karen has cultivated over the course of her abusive marriage.”

“The charge between the two is undeniable, leading Karen to risk everything for the possibility of Wilson’s freedom,” it further read.
