‘Horrified’ Kate Middleton backtracks on one of her strictest rules

Prince William and Kate Middleton are known for their stiff upper brow, but even more so about their hard line stances on people like Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor or Prince Harry. But it seems like the tides might finally be shifting.

Reports suggest the inadvertent ‘lucky break’ that’s coming, is coming straight for the Sussexes, and the reason isn’t mercy, instead its the realization that the Wales’ have ‘more to lose’ this way, than previously thought possible.

Now an insider has told New Idea how the entire thing even came about.

Reportedly, “Kate can’t forgive or forget how Harry and Meghan have treated her over the past few years. But for the sake of peace, she is open to having an informal meeting with Harry to discuss the way forward.”

According to the source this is being looked at with the lens of a “Kate-Harry peace plan”. But the insider also noted how deep the wounds go still. According to them, “Kate was horrified to be dragged into their drama – and of course, her husband, Prince William, was infuriated. It’s almost certain that William would’ve pushed for that public clarification from Charles.”

However one thing they made clear is that, “even if Kate can pull this ceasefire off, the Waleses and Sussexes aren’t going to be sharing family dinners any time soon.” But “Kate is thinking bigger picture. She and William have more to lose by icing out the Sussexes – and she is quietly thinking about how a potential meeting could be the only way forward,” they said in their concluding words.
