Savannah Guthrie refers to Nancy in past tense, crime junkie reporter notes
Savannah Guthrie, while discussing Nancy's heritage, used the conspicuous word that caught attention
Savannah Guthrie, since her mom Nancy's disappearance, has been living in full fright over the status.
The TODAY anchor reportedly remained in full touch with the authorities, who are investigating her mother's missing case.
On multiple occasions, she made public pleas and even begged the captors of her mom to do the right thing.
But now on her show, Savannah's comments about her Nancy caught the attention of Jonathan Lee Riches or JLR, a self-described investigator reporter, who is fervently following the disapperance case.
Taking to social media, he pointed out how the anchor referred to her mother in the past tense.
While discussing her professional plans of shooting her show in Ireland, she gushed, "I love that we’re all going. I’ve never been to Ireland."
But perhaps unwittingly, Savannah mentioned her mom in past tense.
“My mother’s family — my mother was Irish, [as was] her grandmother. They were from Galway.”
It is worth noting that her use of past tense doesn't necessarily imply what is the status of Nancy.
Still, Savannah has been open about her dread for her mom's well-being.
Only last month, she shared an emotional post on Instagram, writing, “This is our beautiful Mom. Six months ago, someone took her out of her bed in the dead of night."
“We have lived every moment, every breath, and every heartbeat in agony and despair ever since," she penned.
