Megan Thee Stallion makes major move as she enters the 'anime' world
Megan Thee Stallion admits her latest role was harder than expected
Megan Thee Stallion is all set to make a debut in Carl Jones's 'anime-style' series, tentatively titled Hotties.
And the 31-year-old rapper admitted that she is having great pleasure while working on the new project as she is voicing her own character.
She told InStyle in a new interview, "I was like, ‘Carl, I want my own anime-style series and I wouldn’t want to do it with anybody else other than you.’"
Megan noted, spilling more details, "I’m voicing my own character. Going in the studio and being Megan Thee Stallion, like, I can record something and I know what voice I’m going to do it in. Boom. This is what it sounds like over the track. That is easy."
However, voice acting, especially her own character, was not as easy as Megan thought.
She said, "Voice acting for a character is really different. When I saw it back the first time, I was like, Oh hell no. I did that way too dry. I got to be more animated. I got to make my inflection different here and there."
All in all, Megan is relishing the experience, as she gushed, "I’ve been having a lot of fun doing my voice acting."
The series is currently under development and will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video
It is pertinent to mention that the co-creator of the series, Carl Jones, is known for producing The Boondocks and Black Dynamite.
