Tupac Shakur 'killer' sends message to world after court verdict

Duane “Keffe D” Davis was found guilty in the high-profile killing of rap legend Tupac Shakur in 1996.

However, he said he is innocent in the first interview after his conviction.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, when Davis was asked what he wanted to tell the world, he said, "I’m innocent, man. They got an innocent man sitting in jail. I’ve got two grandsons that are going to the pros in football."

"They All-Americans — one of them is in high school. He has 25 scholarship offers, and the other is from a college. And when they get their millions, they’re coming to get me out of here."

Apart from him, there is Sean 'Diddy' Combs.

His name – at one point – drew much attention during the killing of Shakur.

The prime accused in the case, Duane “Keefe D” Davis, himself accused the rap mogul of handing him a million dollars to end Shakur's and Suge Knight's lives.

The claim was set aside due to lack of proof.

However, that does not mean Combs is off the hook, according to Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson.

In his view, should sufficient evidence arrive, the situation regarding the already embattled producer may change.

“At this point, we don’t believe we have sufficient evidence to charge anyone else with the death of Tupac Shakur," he said in a press conference.

"But, like any other case, if we come across more information, more evidence, we can always consider filing additional charges."

"But today, we don’t believe that’s the appropriate move to make,” Wolfson stated.

On the other hand, the jury reached a unanimous decision finding Davis responsible for providing the arm to a group that killed Shakur in Las Vegas in 1996.

He has been on trial since September, and his verdict will be made in October, as he is facing lifetime imprisonment without the possibility of parole.
