Katy Perry reveals daughter’s ‘straightforward’ nature
Katy Perry wants daughter, Daisy, to see her as a ‘good template’
Katy Perry’s daughter took lyrics a little too seriously.
In a recent interview with E! News, the Roar hitmaker revealed that her daughter Daisy loves singing along to the pop star’s classic hits, but one lyric left her less than excited. She said, “The other day, she was singing along to, ‘Stole your parents’ liquor and climb to the roof. ”
“She’s like, ‘One day, when I’m older, I’m going to do that,’” Katy added.
Giving a playful reality check to the 6-year-old, “No you ain’t, girl!” Katy said, “Our roof is too high!”
It is worth noting here that the chart-topping singer shares Daisy Dove with ex partner, Orlando Bloom. However, the couple went their separate ways in June 2025.
The singer described her daughter’s personality, saying, “She is straightforward, has no fear. She is both Orlando and myself.”
Previously, speaking with People Magazine, Katy shared the importance of being a strong role model for her daughter: “It’s always incredible when I get to bring my daughter to work.”
“I think when mothers can be their most supported, authentic selves, that is always a good template for children to model. And I’m just glad to model a strong, steady, intelligent, funny, weird woman for my beautiful daughter,” the 41-year-old singer added at the time.
