Prince Harry's UK return fulfills King Charles' biggest wish
The Duke of Sussex moved back to the UK with his family last week
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have relocated to Britain with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
According to a former royal butler, King Charles is apparently "delighted" with Harry's decision to return to the UK, as it's a greater opportunity for him to spend more time with his grandchildren.
Speaking to the Daily Express, Grant Harrold said that the monarch is "excited" as his grandchildren are back in Britain.
“Like any grandparent, the King will be very excited to have Archie and Lilibet close again,” royal expert said.
“He hasn’t had a chance to really see them grow up, so he will be very happy to play a larger role in their lives," Grant added.
The expert further told the outlet that Charles doesn't want to remain an absent grandparent and would welcome the opportunity to spend more time with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
"I imagine it’s been very hard for him to know how much he’s missed out on. He would never have wanted to be an absent grandparent.”
According to Grant, Charles would like to play a more active role in his grandchildren’s upbringing.
“He’s a very caring man, and his family means a lot to him. All things aside, he would want to play an active role in his grandchildren’s lives," royal expert said.
