Theo James has spoken out about the potential inclusion of Meghan Markle in The Gentlemen.

During his Wednesday, September 2 interview with Town & Country, the 41-year-old English actor and film producer opened up about a royal family member joining the cast of the Guy Ritchie-created television series.

Alluding to Sarah Ferguson, James said, “Yes, Fergie is joining. She’ll be playing my love interest.”

He then stated that the rumours about Meghan, the wife of Prince Harry, joining the cast of The Gentlemen season 3 were “mainly a lot of hot air.”

“At the moment, we’re just trying to get as many eyes on season two, and then season three will happen soon. But in terms of story, we have the overarching ambition of where we’re going to go. We’re going to expand the world, go to different countries. But in terms of the minutiae, I mean, it’s still very much up in the air,” the White Lotus star explained.

For those unaware, rumours that the Duchess of Sussex is all set to join the cast of The Gentlemen for a third season started in August when the news of her return to England along with the Duke of Sussex came, as the series films in the United Kingdom.

It is pertinent to mention that it is still not confirmed whether Meghan Markle will become part of The Gentlemen series, which is set to drop its sophomore season on Netflix on September 3, 2026.
