Amy Schumer shares rare glimpse of 7-year-old son Gene

Amy Schumer is spending some quality time with her son Gene.

Taking to her Instagram handle on Tuesday, the 45-year-old comedian posted a sweet photo of herself with her 7-year-old son.

In the shared photo, Amy is seen affectionately hugging the child at an event.

“They wipe the floor with you and also carry you to heaven,” the Life & Beth actress penned in the caption.

For those unversed, Amy welcomed her son Gene with Chris Fischer on May 5, 2019. The two are no longer together.

In a 2022 interview with People magazine, the Kinda Pregnant actress said she felt the guilt of a working mother when she went on tour.

“I just want to be with him as much as I can,” Amy said at the time. “I’m very grateful to be able to work and have time for myself also."

"But it’s brutal. It hurts. I mean, like, there’s no way," she continued. "It’s a painful thing.”

Amy joked that she was as “surprised as anybody else that I had maternal instincts.”

“But gosh, you know, all the clichés are just true,” she noted. “What they say about babies — I’m crazy about him.”
