Rob Reiner's son secretly marries amid parents' murder case: Report
The late 'When Harry Met Sally' director had three kids with his second wife, Michele Reiner
Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner's eldest son, Jake Reiner, has reportedly gotten married secretly during his parents' ongoing murder case.
As per a report by TMZ, Jake married Maria Gilfillan earlier this month. Jake was also seen wearing a wedding band on his ring finger during an interview earlier this month regarding his father and mother's murder case involving his brother, Nick Reiner.
It has been unknown since when Jake was dating Maria, but the couple have made multiple public appearances last year, one of them was at the premiere of Things Like This in New York City back in May 2025.
Jack also posted snaps with Maria after they attended a wedding together in October last year.
During his August interview with KABC-TV’s Marc Cota-Robles aired last Thursday, Jake talked about his parents' tragic death for the first time.
For those unversed, Rob and Michele were stabbed and killed inside their California apartment in December 2025.
He said during the emotional talk, Jake talked about the rage he felt after the murder
Giving words to his complicated feelings, he said, "It manifests into rage, into how unfair this was, how I didn’t get a say in what happened. “I didn’t get to stop it from happening.”
"I had no choice in the matter. I just have to accept the reality of it. And to me, that is just one of the most infuriating parts of all of this.”
Speaking of his brother, Jake said, “I mean, he’s in jail so … you know, it’s like I physically lost my parents and then Nick was arrested and now it’s just me and [my younger sister] Romy.”
Regarding the latest update on the legal case of Rob and Michelle's murder, Nick was indicted by a grand jury on August 12, on two counts of first-degree murder.
However, he pleaded not guilty, and proceedings are continuing through the Los Angeles court system.
