Fontaines D.C., the Irish rock band, has announced an upcoming gig at Slane Castle, featuring a line-up of high-profile guests.

The five-piece band, consisting of Grian Chatten, Conor Curley, Conor ‘Deego’ Deegan III, Tom Coll, and Carlos O'Connell, announced the performance on Monday morning after teasing the gig at their headline set at Electric Picnic on Sunday night.

Taking to Instagram, the group announced they will play Slane Castle on June 26, 2027, joined by a range of special guests.

The appearances include Paramore’s Hayley Williams, Irish singer-songwriter Damien Dempsey, and Irish contemporary folk band, Madra Salach, with more to be announced.

This announcement comes shortly after Fontaines D.C. brought Electric Picnic to a close in Stradbally, where thousands huddled in the wind and rain to soak in the last of this year’s festival edition.

Their set marked a major milestone for the band, being their first headline gig at the annual event.

As their show came to a close, an image pointing to Slane Castle appeared on the big screen, accompanied by QR code encouraging attendees to register for more information.

Fontaines D.C. will be the third Irish act to ever headline Slane Castle, coming after Thin Lizzy, who performed at the very first concert in 1981, and U2 in 2001.
