Trump tells Canadian companies to move to US ‘immediately’ amid tariff war

US President Donald Trump has launched another attack on Canada as trade tensions between the neighbouring countries continue to escalate.

In a series of Truth Social posts on Sunday, Trump called Canada “one of the worst abusers” and targeted Canadian cars, parts and companies doing business in the United States.

“One of the Worst Abusers is Canada. I don’t want Canadian cars, I don’t want Canadian parts, I don’t want Canadian anything. They’ve been ripping us off for decades, and it’s going to stop,” Trump wrote.

Trump also criticised Canada’s leadership, adding: “I deal with the Leadership of many Countries, but I find Canada to be the worst. They are entitled no longer!”

In another post, Trump urged Canadian companies operating in the U.S. to relocate south of the border “immediately.”

“When you move back, there are no TARIFFS!” he wrote.

Trump also shared an article suggesting Canada was “on notice” following a new US oil agreement with Venezuela.

The president later claimed Canadian businesses were “pouring” into the United States and repeated his push to increase domestic manufacturing.

“We want to make our own cars, etc. That’s what’s going to happen Canada has been ripping us off for years — NO LONGER!” Trump wrote.
