Jeremy Clarkson breaks silence on 'Top Gear' reboot after his exit

Jeremy Clarkson has finally lifted the lid on what actually made Top Gear a huge success.

While conversing with The Times, the renowned English television presenter, journalist, author and farmer revealed that he asked the BBC to reboot and review electric cars earlier this year before he left the show.

Clarkson said, “It will work if they do it right. There is an opening for someone to review electric cars because no one really understands them.”

“They should do it as a consumer programme, which would be quite a b****** thing to do because no one wants to go back to the Seventies, like What Car? magazine on television,” he quipped.

This comes after he alluded to the recent Top Gear reboot news by the BBC, the Clarkson’s Farm star gave a piece of advice to the broadcaster.

In his recent column for The Sun, Clarkson penned, “I wish them well with the project and will even tell them about the secret sauce I used to make the show a ratings winner around the world.”

“Every Monday morning, I’d arrive in the production office, sit down and think: ‘Right. What can I do this week to annoy the BBC?’” he joked.

It is pertinent to mention that Jeremy Clarkson left Top Gear on March 25, 2015, after the BBC’s decision not to review his contract came to light.
