UK publishes new behavioural guidelines for asylum seekers: What to know

On Wednesday, the UK government has published new guidance summarizing behavioural expectations and everyday rules for asylum seekers living in the country.

A nine-page booklet covers key areas of daily life and is best-suited for foundational learning. The covered topics include respecting people in public, gender equality, sex and consent along with guidance on how laws and customs in the UK may differ from asylum seekers' home country.

In this connection, the Conservatives shadow home secretary Chris Philp said: “Instead of trying to train these mainly young, male illegal immigrants to behave in a civilized way towards women they should be deported.”

The booklet underlined that asylum seekers must understand UK law as breaking them could lead to criminal sentences and ultimately impact their asylum assertions.

Crucially, the section explains that women in the UK have equal gender rights to men and do not need authorization from a husband, brother or father to make major life decisions such as working, studying or traveling. Philip further called for expulsion of asylum seekers rather than adapting to current actions.

“Immigrants are coming from places and societies where attitudes towards women can be completely incompatible with Western society, Philip continued.”

Nonetheless, the government has just published a detailed handy guide for illegal migrants on how to not be a pedophile and not to beat women, and to treat others with respect even if you disagree with their beliefs on living.
