Rod Stewart's wife Penny Lancaster breaks silence after rocker's heart scare

Rod Stewart's wife Penny Lancaster showed support to her rockstar husband after he had undergone heart surgery.

On Tuesday, Rod made an announcement on his social media that he has cancelled the rest of his 2026 tour dates following "a routine coronary stent procedure."

After the rocker shared the news, his family and friends rushed to social media including his wife that they are standing beside him during his tough time.

Penny took to her Instagram Stories and posted a sweet loved-up photo with Rod from their cozy sofa area at home.

The singer's wife also set the Story to his hit song You're in My Heart.

Rod's health scare raised concerns after he cancelled his two concerts in the same month due to an unrevealed medical issue.

It has been confirmed that the mystery issue was related to his heart, as it was revealed on his socials that he underwent an operation that opened blocked heart arteries using a catheter.

A statement on his official social media read, "Following further medical evaluation, Sir Rod Stewart has successfully undergone a routine coronary stent procedure.

"Doctors are pleased with his recovery, and Rod is doing very well and has returned to his normal daily activities.

"On the advice of his doctors, he will take the next four weeks to recuperate and regain full fitness before returning to the stage. Unfortunately, this means he will be unable to continue his current tour dates.

"Information regarding affected performances will be communicated by the respective promoters and venues," they conclude.

It is pertinent to mention that Rod was scheduled to perform multiple shows in the US and Mexico.
