Anna Faris' red carpet 'demeanour' sparks concern: 'What is she on?'

Anna Faris is drawing attention online after appearing at a movie premiere in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

Social media users are commenting on the 49-year-old actress' demeanour caught on tape with E! News on the red carpet of Spa Weekend premiere—some raising concerns over her appearance and some pointing out her "bloodshot "eyes.

"Is she ok?" one wrote under the clip while another commented, "What is up with her demeanor? Something's not right."

Someone also asked why the actress always looks intoxicated in her interviews.

However, many others online pushed back on the concern, saying they felt beauty standards have made people uncomfortable seeing someone age naturally and praised her for embracing a natural approach to aging without "Botox, filler, and plastic surgery."

"I think the new age 'beauty standards' have been forced upon us, so heavily, that when we see a woman aging naturally we jump to concern and worry," read one comment.

"100% natural, 0% Botox," another person wrote while a third supporter said, "I love her aging naturally."

Some commenters pointed out that her answers in the interview were clear and thoughtful. 

"I don’t like this. Yes, her eyes are a little red from tiredness, a drink, or buzz of some sort (it is a party) but her words and point come across crystal clear??" said another.

During the interview, Faris spoke about being a mother to her teenage son, who turns 14 later this month. 

"I'm an older mom," she acknowledged, before adding elsewhere, "I hope I'm doing ok. I didn't always feel like I fit in with the parents of [Jack's] friends. I always felt like I was kind of messing up somehow."

This isn't the first time Faris has faced public speculation about her well-being. Similar comments came up two months ago during interviews for one of her films.

She shares her son with her ex-husband Chris Pratt, whom she was married to from 2009 to 2018. She has been married to her current husband, a cinematographer, since 2021.
