Victor Marx: Colorado governor candidate shares story of exorcism and five demons

Victor Marx, a Colorado Republican candidate for governor, has dismissed claims that he is an exorcist.

Speaking on Piers Morgan’s show, the Christian ministry leader, and self-described “demon hunter” said “I pray for people, but I am not an exorcist.

Asked how would he categories his role in exorcising demons, he said, “Well, it's not exorcising. I simply pray for people who have struggles. A Catholic priest wouldn't call me an exorcist. I think they are the only ones that carry that title.”

Piers Morgan also asked him about a podcast where Victor Marx recounted a story where his dog apparently sensed a demonic presence near a swimming pool, prompting him to step in and cast out five demons from a woman.

Marx responded, “I do believe animals can sense things in people or evil spirits. I have a trained canine who was tracking on a fella and a young lady across the way. I just walked over, started conversation, and it eventually led to me asking this young woman, "Hey do you want prayer for anything? Because I pray for people all the time.”

Victor Marx added, “She actually broke down in tears and said, ‘Yes, I really need prayer.’ So, I prayed for her, and we do believe there were five assignments, five demonic assignments against her.”

He said “There's nothing drastic there's nothing Hollywood, it's just me praying for someone. She felt relief and that was great. Marx said my dog picked up that this woman was oppressed by evil.

However, Piers Morgan insisted that what Marx did was exorcism.

The British journalist said, “It's pretty extraordinary thing, and then a pretty extraordinary power that you appear to think you have. And it is, with all due respect, that is exorcism.”
