Since 2016, Tom Holland has been essaying Spider-Man. But now, as a decade has passed, he shares that his exit has been in the works at Marvel.

In a candid manner, he told the Happy Sad Confused podcast, “There’s a whole plan that we have been working on for, I would say, since we finished ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home.'”

The plan, Holland said, has been in the works for five years.

“It’s laid out. It’s gonna change for sure, but I have a really clear vision to the passing on of the baton, and I think it’s really exciting.”

Holland's remarks come as Miles Morales has already been added into the scene, though in a different universe under Sony's Spider-Verse trilogy.

The British star himself previously expressed his "desire to bring Miles Morales to the screen and to shepherd the lucky young kid who gets that job."

Even Marvel head Kevin Feige has recently also indicated this.

“But yes, we definitely have plans [for a live-action Miles], and I think a live-action Spider-Man movie has this destiny: to add Miles sometime after the Spider-Verse series ends.”

Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into cinemas on July 31.
