Diddy's release date moved forward for second time

Sean "Diddy" Combs is now expected to leave prison earlier than planned after his release date was moved forward for the second time in just over a month.

The 56-year-old music producer, who was convicted last year on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, was sentenced to 50 months in prison and fined $500,000. He was found not guilty of the more serious charges, including racketeering and sex trafficking.

Combs was first expected to be released in May 2028. Last month, his release date was changed to February 23, 2028. It has now been revealed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons that he is scheduled for release on January 24, 2028.

Combs is serving his sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. Reports last month said he was involved in a fight with another inmate and was later placed in solitary confinement.

The updated release date comes as reports claim President Donald Trump has considered granting Combs a pardon. However, the White House pointed to Trump's earlier comments denying that he was planning to pardon the music mogul. 

Combs is appealing both his conviction and his sentence, which could further affect the amount of time he spends in prison.
