Tom Holland calls Zendaya 'wife' for the second time in less than a week
Tom Holland and Zendaya, however, did not confirm the wedding they rumourly had
For months, rumours about Tom Holland and Zendaya's wedding made rounds on the internet.
Despite the hype, the pair kept mum about the marriage ceremony.
However, both of them, particularly the British actor, often dropped breadcrumbs for fans to hint that he had read the vows with the actress.
Yet, Holland's latest remarks are the starkest glimpse into him confirming his wedding with Zendaya.
Speaking on the U.K.'s Dish podcast, the Spider-Man star casually called his co-star his wife during a rapid-fire segment on the show.
He was asked with whom he would go on a holiday to Greece.
Holland instantly responded, “I think probably my wife would be pretty good."
The actor joked, “It would be a bit strange if I went, ‘Sorry babe, I’m gonna take Matt [Damon, Holland and Zendaya’s Odyssey costar] actually.”
This is not the first time Holland referred to Zendaya as his wife in interviews.
No less than a week ago, in a chat with Wired, he read an online theory, “‘Did Athena love Odysseus romantically?’”
“No, because she’s married to me," the actor said.
The quip goes to show the level of closeness between Zendaya and Holland, who otherwise jealously guarded their privacy.
