Robbie Williams World Cup clip sparks false drug allegations
Robbie Williams has openly discussed his extensive history of drug and alcohol addiction
Robbie Williams, Nicole Scherzinger and Laura Pausini sang “Desire”, the official FIFA anthem, before the FIFA World Cup Final game at MetLife Stadium on Sunday.
Later, a video of the English singer went viral, with social media users claiming it showed he had used drugs.
The clip from a live TV broadcast during the World Cup final shows what some users called “a little white rock” dropping from his nose.
One user shared the video, writing “Robbie Williams at the world cup, a bit of cocaine falls out his nose onto the microphone, he then picks it up and wipes his head.”
Millions of people have watched the video on X and other social networking websites.
However, the video clearly shows white particles falling from his nasal area onto the microphone.
The clip became a viral meme because of the singer’s past as Robbie Williams has openly discussed his extensive history of drug and alcohol addiction.
