Ewan Mitchell says fans are afraid of him after dark 'House of the Dragon' role

In The House of the Dragon, Aemond Targaryen is a ruthless character whose dread seemingly follows the people off-screen.

As Ewan Mitchell, the actor who portrayed the volatile prince, explained in a new interview, fans in public move aside when they see him.

“I’ve had people move out of the way for me,” he told People.

The star, who is 29, backed the statement with proof.

He shared that when he was at the airport while season 2 was airing, people automatically gave him the way because, according to Mitchell, they just froze while staring at him,

"I had to get from one [side of the] airport to another a couple of years back. I think it was season 2 episode 4, just as that episode had dropped.”

Encountering no resistance when the actor had to move from one side to another in a few minutes, Mitchell joked, “I remember stressing, ‘Oh my God, I’ve got to get from this side of the airport to the other side in less than five minutes.’ And I had so little resistance."

“Because people would stop and stare as I was running past them," the star shared.

Not stopping there, he further quipped, “When in doubt, when I’ve got to get somewhere fast, [I’ll put Aemond’s wig on]."

The House of the Dragon episode five will drop on Sunday.
