Where is GTA 6 Trailer 3? Rockstar's silence fuels fan frustration

It is the middle of summer already, yet the marketing for the upcoming release of GTA 6 hasn't really begun yet either. With just four months remaining until the launch of the game, which will happen on November 19, there is no new footage available for the players so far.

Rockstar launched the pre-order programme for GTA 6 back in late June. Many expected that after the launch of the preorder programme, a third trailer would follow soon enough. So far, that didn't happen. 

Fans went back to listen again to what Take Two's CEO Strauss Zelnick said in his interview to Variety on May 21. On that day, he made his earnings announcement as well.

Asked about the marketing of the title, Zelnick stated the following: "So, the next few weeks I don't think it'll be summertime yet, but when it is summertime, Rockstar expects to start marketing GTA 6."

The timing is quite interesting since Sunday, which is the last match, is the final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, one of the most watched sporting events around the world, attracting billions of viewers from all around the world.

There were rumours that Rockstar would make use of the tournament to unveil GTA 6. However, nothing was revealed during the group stages and knockout rounds. It is yet to be seen what happens before, during, or after the upcoming final.

The latest rumours, as per claims from someone close to Rockstar, say that we might see a new trailer for GTA 6 in the coming days, maybe even around the time of the World Cup finals. Even if that does not happen, Take-Two's next earnings call is scheduled for August 7. The earnings call of Take-Two Interactive Software has been followed by the revelation of something new about GTA 6.
