Calgary police ask entire city to help find missing 11-year-old Parker Wells
Police are asking people to check yards, garages, sheds, unlocked vehicles, caravans, swimming pools and hot tubs
Calgary police are appealing to residents across the city to help find 11-year-old Parker Wells, who disappeared from his day home on Thursday.
Police said Parker went missing from the 0-100 block of Connaught Drive N.W. between 11:08 AM and 11:41 AM. Investigators believe he was last seen in the Thorncliffe area between 12:30 PM and 1:00 PM.
Parker is autistic, non-verbal and functions at the level of a two or three-year-old, police said. He is described as 4ft 11in tall, weighing around 90 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
According to police, clothing believed to belong to Parker was found in the 0-100 block of Northmount Drive N.W.
Officers believe he is shirtless and wearing grey shorts, black Skechers shoes and black noise-cancelling headphones.
Acting Staff Sgt. Scott Guterson urged residents to search their own properties.
“The Calgary police need the public’s assistance to help find Parker. There are literally a million eyes out there – we need each and every one of them to do the checks on their property.”
Police are asking people to check yards, garages, sheds, unlocked vehicles, caravans, swimming pools and hot tubs, as Parker is known to like water. They also urged residents to review CCTV and dashcam footage.
Anyone who sees Parker is asked not to approach him, but to contact police immediately.
