Post Malone has been announced as the headlining performer for the FIFA World Cup 2026 closing ceremony, which will take place before the tournament final on July 19 at New York New Jersey Stadium.
The Grammy-nominated singer will perform 90 minutes before kickoff as part of a ceremony celebrating the end of the 39-day tournament. The 2026 FIFA World Cup will feature 48 national teams competing across 16 host cities in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
FIFA said the ceremony will combine music, football and culture to mark the conclusion of the expanded tournament before the world champions are crowned.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino said Post Malone's performance is expected to celebrate the tournament's journey and help build excitement ahead of the final match.
Post Malone also saw his latest album, F-1 Trillion, become his first country project and debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
The closing ceremony will also feature appearances from Tom Cruise, Jennifer Hudson, Laura Pausini, Nicole Scherzinger, Robbie Williams and IShowSpeed.
The FIFA World Cup Final will be played at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, with kickoff scheduled for 3 p.m. ET.
