Katy Perry breaks silence on 'difficult' split from Orlando Bloom: 'I was crying'

Katy Perry has finally broken the silence on her shocking split from Orlando Bloom.

In a new interview with radaronline.com, the 41-year-old singer said that her split from the Troy actor Bloom pushed her to the brink emotionally.

"It's wild to look at where I was one year ago exactly," Katy said of her breakup with Orlando.

The Teenage Dream hitmaker further said that "I was crying. I was in Adelaide [Australia]. I had just separated. I had been through a lot of you know, just stuff publicly, privately."

"I was just like, 'holy s--t, this is really intense. Is a person really supposed to feel all this and/or absorb all this?' continued Katy. "And then my blessing came."

The Roar singer added that Justin Trudeau came into her life as a "blessing from God," who helped rescue her from the depths of despair after her difficult split from Orlando.

For those unversed, Katy and the hunky former prime minister of Canada sparked dating rumors last July, when the two were spotted having dinner together in Montreal.

Their relationship was confirmed when they were photographed sharing a smooching on a yacht in October.

"It was wonderful," Katy said of meeting Justin. "It was like God didn't take me this far to desert me."
