Thousands of Cuisinart gas grills recalled over shattering glass risk
The recalled grills were sold online and in stores between December 2024 and May 2026
More than 12,000 Cuisinart gas grills sold at Walmart and Lowe's stores across the United States have been recalled after reports that tempered glass in the units shattered during use.
According to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, about 12,660 stainless steel Cuisinart Propel+ Four Burner 3-in-1 Gas Grills are affected by the recall.
The agency said the pizza oven's tempered glass can break while in use, creating a risk of serious laceration injuries.
The recalled grills were sold online and in stores between December 2024 and May 2026.
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission said Conair LLC, based in Stamford, Connecticut, has received 37 reports of the glass shattering and one report of a fire. No injuries have been reported.
Consumers can identify the recalled products by checking for model number CGG-6331, located on the label inside the right-hand metal door of the grill.
Owners are urged to stop using the recalled grills and contact Conair to arrange a remedy.
According to the recall notice, consumers can choose either a full refund of the original purchase price or receive a $500 refund by cheque.
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission said customers can also contact Conair directly through its dedicated recall support line for further instructions on returning or replacing the affected product.
