Ariana Grande drops out of 'American Horror Story' season 13: Here's why

Ariana Grande will no longer make her debut in American Horror Story season 13 after scheduling conflicts got in the way of her joining the production.

Reports say changes to the show's filming schedule clashed with dates on Grande's ongoing Eternal Sunshine Tour, which made it impossible for the singer to take part, per Deadline. Neither FX nor 20th Television commented on the report.

Grande reportedly had not filmed any scenes for the upcoming season.

The upcoming installment features a star-studded ensemble including Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Jessica Lange, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, John Waters and Leslie Grossman.

Returning franchise actors John Carroll Lynch, Mena Suvari and Matt Fraser are also expected to reprise characters from previous seasons, while Paul Anthony Kelly, Berto Colón and Joey Pollari will make their American Horror Story debuts.

Fans had already noticed Grande's absence when cast members were recently spotted filming scenes for the new season of American Horror Story.

The set photos also revealed the previously unannounced additions of Frances Conroy and model Alex Consani.

Plot details for the upcoming season remain tightly under wraps. American Horror Story season 13 premieres on September 24.

News of Grande's exit comes shortly after the singer adjusted several July tour dates.

Her July 12 concert at Brooklyn's Barclays Center was moved to July 14, while two Boston shows originally scheduled for July 22 and July 24 were rescheduled to July 23 and July 26.

The tour will continue with performances in the United States, Canada and the UK.
