Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding venue to get heavy police protection
As Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding is just around the corner, the police protection assigned at the couple's wedding venue, Madison Square Garden, is reportedly going to be expensive.
High-ranking NYPD sources told TMZ that it is going to cost roughly $160,000 to NYC police department for the two events at MSG.
Around 70 detectives will be hired from all across the city and will be assigned duties during rehearsal day at the venue which is on Thursday and the wedding day which is on July 3.
The officials will work for around 8.5 hours and will be paid $80 to $90 per hour.
Along with detectives, around 50 police officers are also assigned duties the same days at MSG, they will work for 9 hours at the rate of $70 per hour.
In addition, some NYPD higher-ups are also expected to work.
The outlet claimed that the cost for this police presence is expected to go over $160K.
Other than that, it was also reported that the one night rent pay for MSG is costing Taylor $1 million and she is renting the venue for at least three days.
The outlet previously reported that the singer and the NFL player are setting up a castle for a "garden party" event at Madison Square Garden.
