What Jennifer Garner does when she is 'home all day'?

Jennifer Garner is enjoying her life at her Los Angeles home, which she built all by herself.

​In a feature story in Better Homes & Gardens for its July/August 2026 issue, the 54-year-old actress shared insights into her home, especially the beautiful garden inspired by her childhood memories in West Virginia.

​The 13 Going on 30 star shared that her garden is currently filled with blooming fruit trees, including plums, peaches, cherries and apricots. She also grows vegetables such as potatoes, eggplants, sugar snap peas and tomatoes.

​While sharing about her most favorite part of being at home, Garner gushed that she loves to cook for family and friends.

​“If I'm really home all day, I am cooking for people,” she told the magazine, adding, “Because that's what everyone wants.”

​Garner, who shares three kids with ex-husband Ben Affleck, noted that she designed her home to make people feel comfy.

​“My house is very ‘sit-able' and cozy,” the doting mom shared, adding, “I built this house, and each area is like its own little conversation area. I can have a big gathering, but even those [spaces] have a little window seat or a way to tuck away. It's interesting to see how groups migrate from one spot to another.”

​This is not the first time Garner talked about her LA home, she previously gave a tour in a 2024 Architectural Digest video and gushed how much she is proud of herself for creating a space like this.

She said at the time, “I've never built anything all by myself before and I'm so proud of it. I am filled with gratitude every time I walk into my house. That I get to live here, that I'm so lucky to have my kids here.”
