Jelly Roll, Bunnie Xo faced 'a lot of chaos' before filing for divorce?

An insider has lifted a curtain on what was actually happening behind closed doors that led Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo to divorce.

For those unaware, Roll and Bunnie, who tied the knot in 2016, renewed their vows in 2023 and ended up filing for divorce on May 18, 2026. According to legal documents, the couple separated on May 9 but the news of their divorce came out on Tuesday, June 16.

A source close to Roll opened up to PEOPLE magazine, revealing that the pair “always had a complicated dynamic” since the first day of their relationship, as they had a platonic relationship before their marriage.

The source stated, “When they first got together, they were both in a very different place in their lives. There was a lot of chaos, ups and downs, and they built a life together through all of that.”

Roll has “changed a lot” after he lost almost 300 lbs and people started recognizing him through his music.

They claimed, “He’s very focused on his future, his health and being around for a long time. There wasn’t a moment where everything fell apart.”

Despite filing for divorce, “they still love each other but were no longer on the same page about certain things, including what they wanted their future to look like. People saw the public side of things, but there was a lot more going on privately,” noted the insider.

It is pertinent to mention that Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo did not have their biological children together.
