Jeremy Allen White talks about filming 'The Bear' final episode
Jeremy Allen White admits 'The Bear' finale was 'hard' to shoot
Jeremy Allen White has opened up about saying goodbye to The Bear.
Ahead of the fifth and final season of the show, Jeremy revealed that reading and filming the show's final episode was an emotional experience.
He told People Magazine, "It was hard. I mean, it was hard to read. It was hard to shoot. It all makes sense."
"To me, this season, the end of the show is like — for Carmy [Carmen Berzatto] at least — is about this sort of like ultimate surrender and acceptance of, kind of like an honesty with himself. So that all makes sense to me," Jeremy added.
Speaking of his character, who he has been playing since 2022 when the series debuted, Jeremy said he needed "to take a step back."
Noting, "But I'm so proud. I'm proud of that for Carmy."
"I'm proud of the rest of the characters for stepping up. They're so capable and so talented and so driven. I think it got wrapped up in the perfect way," he added.
The synopsis of the new season reads: "With no money, the threat of a sale and a torrential storm in their way, the new partners must band together with the rest of the team to achieve one last service, hoping they’ll finally earn a Michelin star."
"Ultimately, they learn that what makes a restaurant 'perfect' might not be the food, but the people," it adds.
Besides Jeremy Allen White, The Bear also stars Ayo Edebiri, Molly Gordon, Will Poulter and Abby Elliott.
Notably, the fifth and final season of the show is set tot release on June 25.
