US musician Oliver Tree tragically died in a fatal helicopter crash, colliding with another as he was travelling to Brazil.

The 32-year-old was among six people who died on the spot when the crash occurred over Rio de Janeiro on Sunday. One of the burning helicopters fell onto the car park. Consequently, around 20 vehicles were burnt. The internet personality was on a world tour to promote the album when the fatal incident occurred.

According to the Military Fire Department of the State of Rio de Janeiro, emergency crews were dispatched to the collision site at approximately 09:00 local time (12:00 GMT).

Brazilian authorities have confirmed that a full investigation into the cause of the tragedy is currently ongoing.

The viral sensation due to his distinct style and internet personality was on a world tour when the fatal incident occurred. He recently performed in a recent show held in Sao Paulo on June 6. On July 1, he was scheduled to perform in Lisbon, Portugal.

The news of Tree’s death has sent shockwaves across the music industry. In the midst of gloom, a two-months old video of Oliver Tree resurfaced on social media platforms, amassing millions of views.

In the video, he discussed ongoing issues with his longtime label , Atlantic Records and talked about parting his ways from it. He also announced that his latest album Love Your Madly, Hate You Badly had been cancelled.

“I just got word that my album is no longer coming out,” . “Love You Madly, Hate You Badly is officially canceled, and I’m parting ways with Atlantic Records.”

“Behind the scenes has been nothing short of a nightmare,” he said. “I have no marketing budgets for music videos, no digital ad spend. Nobody really cares in the building, it seems like.”

In another video, Tree said, “After making tens of millions of dollars over 8 years for Atlantic Records, they no longer want to support my art because I’m not making songs for TikTok. I never got into this to make TikTok songs.”

Unfortunately, less than two months later and during the promotion of his album Oliver Tree passed away in a deadly crash.
