FIFA is betting that the road to the World Cup runs through Roblox. The governing body has revamped FIFA Super Soccer, its official Roblox experience, into a full World Cup 2026 hub featuring all 48 national teams, a dedicated stadium, gameplay quests and rewards tied to live tournament standings.

FIFA is rolling the activation out across five additional Roblox games, creating a six-game crossover designed to keep players engaged with the tournament no matter which corner of the platform they're in.

FIFA Super Soccer already has a substantial built-in audience, having logged more than 1.1 billion visits and averaging 1.5 million daily play sessions.

The game has previously run branded activations with adidas, US Soccer, Brazil's CBF and Borussia Dortmund, and FIFA says more partnerships are in the pipeline.

The Roblox campaign comes along with a new release of the Sports as Self-Expression Study by Roblox and Ipsos, highlighting the relationship between gaming activity and fans' love for traditional sports.

As noted in the study, sports games created in the platform attracted close to 1.1 billion hours of playtime and over 5.6 billion visits during the second half of 2025, up by 154% year over year.

61% of players indicated that playing sports games on Roblox made them feel more inclined toward watching such sports live, whereas 68% mentioned that their passion for sports drove them to try sports-related games on the platform.

In relation to FIFA, 68.2% of players from FIFA Super Soccer confirmed that they "definitely" or "probably" would like to view the upcoming World Cup. However, almost one-third of all players are unlikely to view the tournament in a conventional way, which might mean that their fandom of football is inherently connected with the use of the Internet.

However, out of the number of players willing to watch the tournament, 74.7% of them would continue to play during the whole tournament period.
