Niall Horan joins exclusive chart club with third UK No. 1 album

Niall Horan has earned his third UK Number 1 album with Dinner Party.

The singer's latest record debuted at the top of the Official Albums Chart, giving him the biggest opening week of his solo career. It follows the success of his previous chart-topping albums Heartbreak Weather and The Show.

With the achievement, Horan becomes only the second former One Direction member to score three solo UK Number 1 albums, matching former bandmate Harry Styles.

Dinner Party also topped the Official Vinyl Albums Chart after selling the most vinyl copies during the week.

Elsewhere on the chart, indie band overpass landed their first Top 5 album as Elsewhere, Always entered at Number 5. The album also topped the Independent Albums Chart and the Record Store Chart.

Actor and musician Jeff Goldblum reached a career-best chart position with Night Blooms, which debuted at Number 9. Meanwhile, rock band Evanescence secured their fifth UK Top 10 album as Sanctuary entered at Number 10.

Further down the chart, Dua Lipa's Live From Mexico climbed to a new peak at Number 14. New entries also came from Malcolm Todd, Prospa, Jalen Ngonda and Barry Manilow.
